It could always be worse

I just have to keep telling myself.
School is going well, social life is good, talked to Paul last night so that's fantastic.
Then last night I went to bed. Packed up the laptop and carried it upstairs, as I do every night. Put it on the bed, plugged it in opened it back up and the display didn't come on. I wigle the mouse thinking maybe It just went to sleep or is stuck i sleep mode, no dice. So I manual power off and reboot. Unfortunatly at this point I already know what is wrong, I'm just trying to prove myself wrong. Still nothing. I do the reboot: unplug, remove battery hold power button for 30 seconds, battery back, plug in an power on. Laptop powers up, fans come on, keyboard lights up.... No display.
Several months ago I had an issue with the display going out bit it always came back, after some research I found that the video card in my model is known to fail. They will almost always fix it under warranty within two years of purchase. My two years was up about 30 days ago.
This morning I called Apple in Japan, and they are going to pick my laptop up Sunday. Ship it to a fixer place. And I should have it back in about 10 days. And there is a chance it'll still be warranty. This is great.
So I had a nice lunch with Joselyn and on my way home I ran over a bolt. Huge bolt. Thankfully I made it to the auto shop and I am now waiting on a tire repair.

It could be worse.

Deployment

deploy |diˈploi|
verb [ trans. ]
move (troops) into position for military action : forces were deployed at strategic locations.
• [ intrans. ] (of troops) move into position for such action : the air force began to deploy forward.
• bring into effective action; utilize : they are not always able to deploy this skill.

yep, that about sums it up.

I'm not going to lie and say this has been a piece of cake. It's only been 14 days and I have already decided that Paul is coming home, we are moving back to the states and he is getting a safe, non-deployable job at Walmart.
Okay maybe not really, but that's how I wanted it for a few days. I've started to finally pull out of the worst I think. The terrible fears are beginning to subside. It's not getting easier, but I am learning to deal with my emotions better. School is finally over, well until Monday I start again. 4 classes, World History, Pre-Algebra, Oceanography & Grammar.
I've been working on my fitness, umm... trying to. I've run down to the beach a few times. I'd do it more often but a) It's freakishly hot, and b) i've been on the verge of a mega panic attack for 2 weeks and sometimes leaving the house didn't seem like a great idea. It's hard to leave the house at all because i never know when he will call, and he cant call the cell. Only the house. Last night he called at 245 am, i was a zombie because i had taken my new 'relax' pill and was totally out of it, i remember him calling, and after a few seconds asking me if he woke me up, i guess i wasnt making much sense. I don't remember anything else. I wish I did, I really treasure hearing from him. As hard as this is I know it will make us so much stronger.
Two weeks down, about 37-ish left.

Paul got home last week, and between him and school I havnt had much time for blogging. But here I am, making a quick apperance. We had a great 4th with good friends and BBQing. this week Paul is un-jetlagged so I think we are going to do some exploring. Hopefully I will finally catch up in Geology, I am so close, about one and a half chapters and I am back on track.
Well I should go read now, I'll leave you with some pictures of Aiko, after she got into the mud, and Paul rinsing her off.
