Insta-Tuesday

Go link up with tanigamala for insta-tuesday!
and follow me on instagram AlanaMarie26

I decided to fill up the swimming pool on the deck. Sadly we are on a well and well water is REALLY REALLY COLD. Also the place (on the deck) that I put the pool never gets full sun, so the pool never really warmed up. I dumped it about a week later.

Yay for pools. #swimming time soon!

I got these in Tucson. They are the greatest shoes ever.
Best shoes ever #hellokitty

I drove by Lake Helena at sunset the other day.
Sun setting over lake Helena yesterday

I had a vanilla shake for the first time in a long time, years maybe?
Mmmm, I haven't had a vanilla shake in forever! #BurgerKing

We walked the dogs
Aiko and Renji love long doggie walks

The sun rose, in a smokey sky. Lots of fires in the rockies right now.
Smokey #Montana #sunrise

And then I made banana bread. (It could have used more sugar)
I made banana bread yesterday. I think I may eat the whole loaf by the end of the day.

I cheezed for the camera, because I needed a new FB profile pic.
Cheesy smile. It's what I do best.

I got to sleep in.
Finally had a chance to sleep in. Starting my morning off slow. ☕

The dogs had a round of bitey-face in my lap.
This is happening in my lap. #BostonTerrors

What I don't write about.

A few weeks ago someone wrote about things they don't blog about, I don't remember who, I really should save things like that so I can give credit where credit is due.
But I suck.

I think every blogger has things they dont blog about. Be it for privacy reasons, or because some subjects are very touchy, we all have them.
These are the things I don't write about, some of my reasons are silly, but it's just how I am.

I don't write about road trips or vacations that have not happened yet.
I am slightly paranoid since moving back to the states about having my house broken into. I am not sure why, but I'd rather people not know that I will not be home. For this same reason, you'll rarely find me talk on facebook about leaving for work, or going to the store.

I don't really talk about my work, specifically.
You never know who is reading your blog, and I don't want to get fired, or reprimanded, or even make enemies because I am talking shit about work. I will also rarely talk about my husbands work in specifics.

I don't gossip about family issues.
Again for the reasons above, I would hate to say "my (relative) is a (adjective) (noun)" and then have it get back to said relative.

I don't talk about politics, or my personal political views.
Everyone is entitled to any opinion. And I have mine, but on the same hand I don't know that I am educated enough of any political subject to defend my views intelligently, so I just don't. I actually don't talk about this with anyone, not even my husband.

I also try to not make posts without pictures, because I think those are boring.

So here is a picture for you.
It's my dogs trying to eat each others faces while they were supposed to be sleeping in my lap.

Sunday Social

(again, I still suck at posting this week. I am trying to catch up on life and baby is eating all my energy, and my brains.)

Sunday Social

1. What is the first website you log on to each day?
Before I even get out of bed I usually get on my phone and check my email, and sometimes facebook. When I get on the computer it's facebook.

2. Give us some funny websites you visit that we need to know about:
Dog Shaming- any dog owner/lover will appreciate this
Failbook- funny facebook fails
TFLN- Texts from last night

 3. Pinterest or Facebook? Why?
Both?
I am certainly on FB more, but Pinterest is my go-to recipe place now, and I now pin recipes/craft ideas instead of bookmarking the links. Way easier.

4. Twitter or Instagram? Why?
Instagram. I am trying to get into twitter. But I instagram more. I love taking pictures I assume that is why.

5. Favorite youtube video...post it!
Top 3:
3. Boston on a trampoline
2. Cat crash Test

and finally, the best video of all time:
1. Cat, I'm a kitty cat.

 6. Biggest online pet peeve?
Serious and continuous spelling fails.
Also people who type in slang, u kno wo dey r, if u tak lik dis u kno u look lik ur UNEDUCATED!
(btw that was extremely painful for me to even try to type like that)

24-25 week update

I am sorry for the lack of posting this week. I have been busy cleaning and doing other un-fun shit.
I have however been playing on Tumber and Twitter, because those are easier to do from my phone than blogger.
If you use either of them check me out.

24 weeks #pregnant

How far along? I'll be 25 weeks friday
Baby is the size of: Eggplant
Symptoms: bloating in my hands and feet. Not too bad, but noticeable to me, and my shoes don't fit right. I feel like my feet are getting wider. I also seem to have a bit more energy this week. But that may be due to my coffee consumption, yesterday I had two and a half cups. I also have had some sciatic pain again.
Cravings: Coffee, I have been craving it more, which I know is no good, so I am trying to limit my intake. I also want greek, greek salads, greek olives, greek dressing, tzatziki. I even had a dream last night that I was eating peperoncinis.
Weight:  I think I am about 177 which puts me up about 16 pounds. But I really think a lot of that is bloating, because over the last week my water retention has increased.
Sleep:  I'm sleeping pretty good, but Tuesday I had to be up at 630 for a work meeting, Yesterday I had to be up at 630 for my Dermo appt (I'll update you on that soon) and today I just woke up at 630. wide awake. boo.
Movement: Lots, lots and lots
Stretch Marks: Still none.
Looking Forward To: OB appt next week, but I get my glucose test and I'll have to drink the juice.
Best moment this week: Paul felt her move again. But this time he put his hand there and she jumped, or whatever she does, he goes "was that you?" I laughed, no I can't do that with my rock hard abs.
Miss anything?: Wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes. Almost nothing fits now.
Happy or moody most of the time: Moody, but thats mostly because I am uncomfortable unless I am laying down, and that's just not possible.
Baby purchases:  none yet, but I am planning the fabrics to do the crib-set and curtains and such.

Hair

I had a dream the other night that my hair started to grow really fast. I was super excited until I realized it was only growing in the back, mullet style.
I have sported many hair styles in the last 6 years.
Lets revisit a few, shall we?

Early 2007, We lived in Mass.
The longest it's ever been. EVER.

Then I chopped it all off.

Once in Okinawa I let it grow, this is about mid 2008

At the end of 2008 I cut it off, This is a turning point in my hair adventure. I found a stylist I adored, and I trusted, So I pretty much let her do what she wanted to my hair.

Early 2009, shorter with some layers.

Then I started to really have fun with it.
I think this is one of my favorite cuts.
Mid 2009

A little shorter
2009

So cute! I was also about 20 pounds lighter here.

Then I went too short...
end summer of 2009

Way too short.
End of summer 2009

But I had a cute fauxhawk for about 30 min

Then I started a new adventure in sept 2009
An adventure in bleaching.

I also started letting it grow.

And bleached it some more.
(real butterfly)
early 2010

Then I made the leap into unnatural colors!
 2010

Pink!

Super Pink

Just a little pink
fall 2010

There has never been a pinker pink.

Our last night in Okinawa Nov. 2010
And my last pink.

Then I went dark again
So I could get a job and be responsible.

Found a hairdresser I liked and started going lighter!

Super blonde!
And growing it out.

then short and brown again.

And here we are a few weeks ago, growing it out, with bangs.

Clearly, my hair cycle is grow it a bit and chop it all off again. I can't seem to get it past my chin.

I am thinking about cutting it again.

I love short hair, but I long for long hair. I sort of think short hair will be easier 'mom' hair, then I think "will it? really?" short hair involves blow drying every day, and tons of product. I can never just get up and go. With longer hair I can pony tail it and just go.
I do miss the pony tail.
But the whole reason I cut my hair the first time, is because all I ever did was a pony, I never had fun with my hair. And short hair is SO MUCH FUN!

I don't know what to do?!?!?!
So tell me, Cut it or grow it?
What do you think?
Vote and leave me some words of wisdom.
