okinawa update

we got word from our sponsor yesterday! i am super excited, this means we are getting close!!!

A look through my garden

i have a hibiscus plant on my front porch and i have had the luck of having about two blooms a week on it and they are beautiful, today i awoke to three blooms and a nice bud.

my ivy, story about this is i got it when we lived in our apartment and i nearly killed it, it had maybe one leaf on it and it started with a full pot of ivy, several vines and it was huge, well apperantly i didnt have a green thumb in that apartment, now i guess i do

Rolls & a Capelet

i made some home made rolls for dinner, they were the best rolls i have ever had EVER! and i totally made them from scratch, with yeast and all it took forever but they were delicious, i think i will make them for thanksgiving if we have dinner with anyone.

i started my capelet, i love it i love the rich burgendy color its fantastic. and its my first crochet project where i am following a pattern, its been tough and i have frogged each row at least once before i figure out the pattern , but i am on row 6 out of 20 if i can keep up maybe 4 rows a day i can finish it next week! just in time to show my mommy!

i finally finished Paul's cap a few days ago, i don't think he wanted his picture taken it was a lot of work but i am very happy with it, it is knit, with Cascade 220 wool Grey size 10 circular needle, though i didn't knit in the round.

i also made my first granny square!

yesterday i went to the gym and got on the tread mil and did the level 5 jog (12 min mile) for half a mile! i am so horribly out of shape, but i am so proud of myself, that is a huge accomplishment! i am off here in about an hour to try to do it again.
