Sea Glass

I've been doing a bit of reading up on sea glass, and apperantly there is quite the market out there for it. Sea glass is bits of glass that have been disgarded in the ocean and have been worn down by waves and currents, grinding the glass around on the ocean floor. The result is translucent glass pieces with soft edges, often used in crafting and jewelry.
I often find sea glass on my trips to the beach, so I have decided to collect it and look into selling it online. I have created an online store on Etsy and I am currently washing and
separating the sea glass I have and collecting more. I hope to have some items listed by the end of the week.

Beautifully decorated sea glass:

Upcycle

UPCYCLE

A term coined by William McDonaugh and Michael Braungart. The process of converting an industrial nutrient (material) into something of similar or greater value, in its second life. Aluminum and glass, for example, can usually be upcycled into the same quality of aluminum and glass as the original products.

This week I am going to do a few posts about upcycling, I will also try to link to numerous blogs that I have found that feature Upcycle projects.

I've been neglectfull

I apologize for neglecting you blog, and blog followers. Since Paul got home I've been super busy, he's been working less than half days so he's home at about 12 every day (which makes me happy) I will work this week at updating, with pictures, our adventures over the last week. I also had school sneak up on me, I thought I had one more week before my online class started but I was wrong and last monday I started Natural Science, which frighteningly starts the first chapter of the text with some physics. Scary Shit! I am sure I'll do okay though. I have also been riding a whole lot, I rode 56 miles last week, I hope to do 60+ this week. The weather is supposed to be terrible this week though, and I have a hard time riding in the wind, but I'll try. I may get to the gym and do the stationary bike if need be.
