How goes it in Montana?

Untitled
We are still waiting on orders to Camp Pendleton. Hoping to get them any day now, but realistically since we are not moving until after October, we may not get orders until Augustish, or later.

Untitled
We have not really done anything exciting this month.

WTF #winter #winterisnevergonnaend
Partly because it's still cold as shit. This week we were under 34 degrees for about 6 days straight.

I would love to take a nap, but someone toot my pillow.
So we have been staying inside, where it is warm.

Hoping that May will bring warmer weather.

Just need to finish the stars! #crossstitch #crossstitching #nerdylittlestitcher
I've been cross stitching again. I sort of screwed this one up but I am hoping when I frame it that it'll be okay. I didn't center it correctly and I only have about 1/4 inch on the right side, vs about 2 inches on the right.

New glasses
Oh and I got new glasses, yay!

Smiling at me from her bed. My heart just melts.
Little miss cranky pants has been taking up much of my time, and my hands, she prefers to have my undivided attention, and I haven't been able to put her down much. When I do I try to use that time to do housework and cook, tis why I have been absent much the last few weeks.
But today she has given me time to do things with my hands, and I cleaned the kitchen yesterday, so I am blogging today. I have several days worth of blogs for you, so stay tuned this week!

Evelyn: 18 Weeks

I brushed her hair after her shower this morning. It stayed tame.
I brushed her hair flat and it stayed that way!

New this week:
Fake Coughing.
(yes, apparently babies fake cough, and it's so cute!)
Starting to really find her voice, and has let out a few screams

Nap time. The last month or so she'll only nap in one of our arms.  I love it.

Evelyn: 17 weeks

Total slobber pants
Sleep has been rough this week. I think it's that 4 month sleep regression I've read about, and her 4 month growth spurt. Last night she slept about 4-5 hours straight, and that's the longest she has slept at once in over a week.

I remember when I couldn't even get her to sit propped up, now I can prop her up to stand!

But she's still cute as ever.

Evey had her 4 month shots today. She's 12lbs 14oz and 25 in long, And her doctor says she's developmentally a little advanced  after this photo she tried to suck on her big toe. Very advanced.....

Silly sleeps

Awesome dinner recipes (links)

Untitled

I just wanted to share my yummy dinner tonight
Only thing I did different was I didn't add any BBQ sauce while it was in the crock pot, I added it at the end before it went into the broiler.
I added paprica and garlic salt, I also doubled the recipe

The red beans and rice were a packaged mix that I got at the grocery store ages ago and I wish I had made them sooner because it was awesome! Red beans and rice for everyone!

Lots of leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Yummo!

Friday Letters & workout plan.

Dear Marine Corps,
Will you please at least give us web orders so we can apply for housing, so we have somewhere to live when we get to Cali? I've been told the wait list is lightyears long, and we need to get on it asap.
Dear Evey,
You can stop growing now. Although I love the new things you do every day.
Dear Body,
Okay we're almost 4 months postpartum. I know I just recently started working out, but seriously, I am working out almost every day, eating healthy(er), and I seem to be gaining weight. I know, I know, muscles weigh more than fat, but give me a break. As of today I am 185, I was like 196 the day Evey was born, I have put on about 5 pounds since I brought her home. This is redic. 3 of those pounds have been put on in the last week or so. I was 160ish when I got pregnant. I'd like to be 160 ish again someday(well actually less but, 160 is a start).

In effort to regain control of my body I am going to try to eat even better, I need to cut out something, perhaps carbs? or beer? I don't even drink that often, maybe a beer or two, 2-3 times a week, maybe I need to cut out coffee (because I like my cream with a little coffee), oh god, I'll die without coffee.
I am also trying to walk every day it's not raining. 2-4 miles. I think I am going to start the 30 day shred again too. I can't stand to even look at myself. It's sad really. But that's going to change.
 I am also doing this:
Everyone else is sharing their fit challenges this month, so here is the one I am doing. #babyweight #getfitapril #plank #fitness
Today will be day 5, I haven't done it yet today, but I will, 30 seconds was tough, can't wait for rest tomorrow.

Also going to start this one:
I did 25 yesterday, so I guess I can start today with the 50.

As soon as Evey-psnts lets me put her down I'll start!

My Dearest Stinkie,
I had no idea I could love someone as much as you. Even though sometimes you drive me bananas. I still sometimes have a hard time imagining you are real. It's hard to explain, but you are just so amazing, you are such a perfect, happy, little angel, I can't fathom that you grew inside me. Only a few short months ago the hiccups you get every day still, I was feeling in my belly. I still feel so lucky that you are so well behaved, not once have you thrown a fit, or cried in public. You are so easy to keep happy. We have gone out to eat several times, and it's so easy with you, most of the time you sleep, but if you are awake you are happy just being held and watching us eat. People love you, too. When we are in public you get so many oohs and ahhs. I am so excited to watch you grow, every day you do something new, I just can't get enough of you.
Love, Mommy
